Day 39 - Trouble in the Woods
We're not the only ones out here...

It had to happen. Peace and prosperity doesn’t last long here… Tonight we were attacked. Someone out in the woods fired flaming arrows at the manor and grounds drawing out a horde of walkers from the darkness to attack us. Such a vile and despicable act.

The horde was defeated and the bodies quickly taken care of. Our tracker, Stik, found some wagon tracks and together with an adventuring party has set off to find the culprits responsible. Hopefully they find them and deliver swift due justice. The party ventured off towards Artume.

Artume is known for their stonework and fortifications. If there are more survivors out there then Artume will be the best place to look.

Day 35 - Tending the Grounds
Alot has happened here...

The exploring party sent word that the house was safe after some much needed clearing out. It appears that the building was used as a safe haven run by an apothecary looking to cure the disease. Unfortunately the epidemic proved too much for the small staff and the home was overrun.

The outside of the home has definitely seen better days. You can see where the walkers had tried for days on end to get in. Bloody scratch marks cover the board-up windows and doors, torn fabric and rotting flesh hangs from exposed nails and splintered wood, and a massive hole seems to be be freshly made from inside the second story. The orc, Stik, will regale anyone who even looks at the destruction with the details of that particular event. Apparently he felt that a particularly difficult to handle walker had to be grappled, run through an interior wall, out a window, and then speared to the ground with a decapitating crushing elbow. He tells with the story great bravado as those that witnessed the fight confirm the brutality and power of the orc’s retelling while he excitedly gestures and makes sure to show the exact moves he had used to overpower the creature.

At the outskirts of the grounds is a mass graveyard. Some of the graves are marked but you can tell where the deaths were too fast and numerous to keep up with. Another sad truth of this new world… There is also a dilapidated well that managed to trap a couple of walkers leaving the water stagnate and tainted. A druid in the group, Zal, used her talents to purify the water although some of us in the group are still very hesitant to partake.

We’ve starting working on fixing up the property and it seems for now we’ve got a good prospect of a future settlement developing.

Day 34 - The Manor in the Woods
Shelter is a precious commodity...

Its been a month since the fall of Daggermark. The group has traveled on foot for days now since our caravan fell to a horde of walkers. We lost half of our group to infections and the cold. Its so damned cold you don’t even know that you’ve been bit… No matter the reason they fall we put them down the same. If we don’t they get right back up and add to an endless wall of teeth and nails and torn flesh and the cycle starts again thinning us down until there are none of us left.

The trackers of the group say they’ve spotted a house in the woods in a small clearing. A party has set off to investigate to see if its safe or not. It never is… Hopefully they can clear it out and we can get a fire started. Oh fire… the warmth. It would be nice to add a page written by an unfrozen hand. And beds too! I hope theres a bed to sleep in… but for now we wait. In the cold.

Welcome to the your new life!
Golarion has succumb to a plague of undeath...

The undead curse has left it’s mark on the RIver Kingdoms and the great capitol of Daggermark has fallen. A ramshackle group of social outcasts has formed an unlikely team of survivors. Together they will weather the harsh winter ahead and take on whatever challenges may approach from the cold.

Will they rebuild society? WIll they find a cure to the plague? Will they fall to the disease and join the hordes of walkers now clamoring at their backs? Only their skill and endurance will reveal the answers to these questions and this is the greatest test of their lives.

The end is near and an adventure has just begun…
